Creating a Pleasant and Unique Atmosphere

What sets Chocoben apart is its eye-catching use of over 400 pieces of Plexiglas in different sizes, arranged as parametric volumes hanging from the ceiling. These light volumes, some of which are floodlit, create a captivating visual display that adds a touch of elegance to the space. The combination of pink, gray, and white hues, along with the careful arrangement and composition of the interior, further enhances the overall aesthetic appeal.

The design team faced several challenges during the project, one of which was creating visual variation within a small space. They carefully considered the position of visitors in relation to the design, as the composition of colors on the pieces can be perceived differently from different angles. This attention to detail ensures that every visitor experiences a unique and engaging visual experience.

Chocoben is located on one of Tehran's busiest streets, occupying a 34-square-meter space. The project commenced in December 2015 and was completed in February 2016. Due to the unavailability of large three-dimensional printers in Iran, the team had to produce all the parts using EPS and hot wire cutting by hand, showcasing their dedication to realizing their vision.

This exceptional design has received recognition in the form of the prestigious A' Design Award. In 2016, Chocoben was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This accolade is a testament to the project's outstanding expertise, innovation, and remarkable level of excellence. Chocoben's design not only showcases strong technical characteristics but also evokes positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
